Follow the beach around further and gentle wallowing in calm waters becomes body surfing or boogie boarding off the main Weymouth beach.

The closest shop to Weymouth is the Pipers River General Store (approximately a 15 minute round trip). A little further North is Bridport (30 mins by car) and Launceston is an easy drive of just under 60km.

It is also prudent to note that you are smack bang in the middle of some of Tasmania’s finest wine producers and cellar doors. And not to forget the fisher people, there is a recently upgraded, all weather public boat ramp just up the road.
